We want you to meet someone special. 👋

Meet Coach Kamryn — one of our newest additions to the Champion Gym family!

Coach Kamryn works with our Little Champion Superheroes (ages 3–5) and helps make our team building and birthday party events extra special. She brings an infectious smile, a love for sports (boxing, swimming, volleyball — and yes, she bleeds Oilers blue 🏒), and an energy that kids absolutely light up around.

When she's not at the gym, she's outside — fishing rod in hand, surrounded by family and friends. Exactly the kind of person you want around your kids.

We're so glad she's on the team. Stop in and say hi! 😊

We're thrilled to officially introduce Coach Devon Barnfield — our Wrestling Coach and Champion Jiu-Jitsu instructor here at Champion Gym! 🥋💥
Devon brings a serious competitive pedigree to our mats: a 7-year wrestling career, Alberta Provincial Champion, and a World Qualifier — trained under the legendary Coach Mike Dunn of The ROC in Calgary (4× Alberta Coach of the Year with 30+ national champions to his name). Devon doesn't just know wrestling — he's competed at a serious level.

🥇 Congratulations to everyone involved in the Wrestling Canada Championships here in Grande Prairie

From the athletes stepping onto the mat, to the coaches, officials, volunteers, and organizers—this was a world-class event.

Over 800 competitors from across Canada competing at the national level, right here in our city.

A big acknowledgment to the Grande Prairie Wrestling Club and Coach Adam Link for representing and helping make this championship a success.

Grande Prairie showed up.

Grande Prairie has always produced champions.
Christine Nordhagen — from right here in the region — won six World Championship gold medals and became the first woman ever inducted into wrestling's international Hall of Fame.
The athletes you see competing in our promo video? Alexandria Town, Amar Dhesi, and Hannah Taylor — all Canadians who went on to compete on the world stage. They got there by stepping onto mats at events exactly like this one.
This weekend, that same journey begins for the next generation.
Over 800 athletes from 10 provinces and 2 territories are competing at the Wrestling Canada Championships at Design Works Centre — and representing Grande Prairie Wrestling Club:
