Congratulations to one of our successful (now collegiate) junior golfers Samantha Speck!

The Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club Ladies Golf Executive is proud to announce that Samantha Speck has been awarded the 2025 GPG&CC Ladies Golf Executive Junior Scholarship Award.

As a dedicated junior golfer at the Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club, Samantha achieved remarkable success, capturing multiple Junior Open titles as well as several GPG&CC Junior Women’s Club Championships.

Samantha has since continued her golf journey at the collegiate level, joining the University of Alberta Pandas Golf Team in her first year at the University of Alberta, where she is pursuing studies in the Faculty of Education.

The Ladies Golf Executive extends its warmest congratulations to Samantha and wishes her continued success in both her academic and golfing pursuits.

After several years, our Most Promising Junior Awards have made a return, and we are excited to announce the winners for 2025!

Congratulations to Bennett Babiuk, our Most Improved Junior in the 10 to 15-year category, and James Howie in the 16 to 18-year category. Both have demonstrated exceptional character and dedication throughout the year.

We are so proud of the junior golfers representing the GPG&CC!!!

After several years, our Most Promising Junior Awards have made a return, and we are excited to announce the winners for 2025! Our Junior Programs have seen a remarkable surge in interest and participation over the past few years, reflecting the growing talent and passion among our young golfers. We’ve witnessed many aspiring players evolving into valuable contributors to our golfing community.

These awards recognize more than just conduct on the course—they celebrate character, attitude, and how juniors represent themselves around the club, fellow members, and the community. Passion, enthusiasm, and active involvement are key criteria in the selection process. Being named an award recipient is an achievement to be proud of.
