Jet started his career as a race horse where he won over $18,000! He retired sound from racing and went into the team roping pen . The past few years Jet has impressed us with his effortless transition into becoming a trick riding horse. New tricks do not phase him . Jet runs the same pattern every time and does not cut corners or drop his shoulders hard . He is solid in the station and respectful to his rider . He eats and drinks well on the road and gets along with other horses. He can be tied overnight and is respectful of electric fences . He has a stride that covers ground effortlessly. The Final Lap

Those who know us closely know that we tragically and unexpectedly lost our main trick riding horse, Cash , this spring . The girls had their two favourite shows the Grande Prairie Stompede and Teepee Creek Stampede booked to trick ride at . Having lost him they were unable to fulfill their contracts and had to give up their booked shows. Sawyer was asked last minute yesterday if she would like to perform one last show on her horse Jet.

Tonight at their home town rodeo , the Teepee Creek Stampede, Sawyer will perform her last trick show to her home town crowd. A place that has given her so many firsts !

This will be a bitter sweet ending to her trick riding career and we are so looking forward to one last show for her greatest fans! We truly hope to see you all there !

Fun Fact! Jet Black Patriot is also the sire of Sawyers new Trick horse Jet ! Jet won over $18,000 flat racing and now has found his next careers : trick riding and roping !

We had so much fun performing at the 2024 North Peace Stampede !!!! Great Rodeo , Great People , Great Fun ! This was Sawyers first show ever on Jet and he was a ROCK STAR! Hs never missed a beat ! Kessler performed on Cash for the first time ever and they are a great fit as well !!!!

Hello GRIMSHAW! We are excited to come to you once again for the North Peace Stampede today and Tomorrow! This will be Sawyers first Show on JET ! and Kessler will be mounted on Cash ( Sawyers big grey horse ). We will be doing a show with Keely Sutherland Trick riding at the Rodeo Performance at 4 pm and then some Mounted Shooting in our tricks during the Chuckwagons which starts at 7 pm ! Hope to see many smiling faces !

Here is Sawyers First Run at Nationals ! Seeker was trying hard but a long end pole cost her footing to knock one . There is no room for error in pole bending . Sawyer and Seeker Run again Friday evening Performance in the rough stock arena . For those tuning in to Cowboy Channel Plus the pole bending starts 1 hour and 35 minutes after the rodeo starts . She’s hoping to make you all proud on Friday and will Represent Alberta proudly !

Well for the first time ever our Teepee Creek stampede looks a little different ! Sawyer has qualified for the National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springs Wyoming . This is one of the biggest rodeos in the WORLD ! It will have over 1700 of the most elite contestants from all over the world and will have over 10 performances ! Sawyer will be competing against kids up to 4 years older than herself from countries like Russia , Australia, New Zealand and the USA . Although she will miss performing for her hometown crowd at Teepee Creek she has been working hard to make you all proud back home ! We hope you all have the most fantastic Teepee Creek Stampede and we promise the Lacey Sister Trick Riding will be back !
