Looking for something new this fall?

Whether you’ve trained before or you’ve never stepped into a dojo, there’s a place for you at Grande Prairie Kyokushin Karate.

We’re a small, traditional Kyokushin dojo focused on building strong martial artists, confident kids, and a supportive training community. No experience is necessary!Just show up ready to learn and work hard.

Our fall semester is coming up, and we’d love to have some new faces on the mats!

That’s a wrap on our first summer at Grande Prairie Kyokushin Karate. 🥋

When I started these classes back in May, I really didn’t know what to expect. I just knew that I wanted to bring something that has meant so much to me back into my community.

Looking back now, I couldn’t be happier that I took that chance.

Thank you to everyone who came out, whether you made it to every class or just stopped by to try something new. Thank you to the parents who trusted me with their kids, to everyone who supported the dojo, shared my posts, brought friends, and encouraged me along the way.

Watching people learn, push themselves, gain confidence and become more comfortable on the mats has been the best part of this summer.

This is only the beginning.

We’re heading into the fall with a new location, two classes a week, and hopefully a few more faces joining us along the way.

Fall registration is now open through the link in my bio, and I’d love to see this little dojo continue to grow.

🥋FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!🥋

What an incredible summer it has been for Grande Prairie Kyokushin Karate. ❤️

When I started this program back in May, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. Seeing people come out, try something new, and continue showing up week after week has meant more to me than I can put into words.

What started as a little idea to bring Kyokushin back to Grande Prairie has already grown so much, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. Whether you’ve stepped onto the mat, shared a post, brought a friend, or simply encouraged me thank you.

This fall, we’re taking the next step with a NEW, more accessible location and TWO classes per week!

Kids: 6:00–7:00 PM
Adults: 7:00–8:00 PM

📅 Thursday
Combined: 6:30–7:30 PM

And if you’ve been thinking about trying Kyokushin, there are TWO more Tuesday classes this month that are completely FREE to try before registering for the fall!

🥋 Crazy white pajamas!?🥋 These boys are rocking their “new” gi’s!

My little brother and sister grew up doing karate as-well! Between all of us and growth spurts we went through a couple sizes…..

Big thanks to my mother for keeping all of them and digging them out of storage when the time finally called for them to be put back in use! ❤️

Throwback to one of my beginner classes. It’s always been rewarding seeing students step onto the floor for the first time, learn something new, and improve every class.

Everyone starts somewhere. Even the smallest steps in training build the foundation for something much bigger.
Looking forward to creating more opportunities for people in Grande Prairie to experience Kyokushin Karate. Osu!

A few push-ups, a lots of hard work! 💪 Every class helps these kids build strength, confidence, and discipline, all well having fun. If you’re looking for an activity that helps your child grow on and off the mats, come try a class!
