Hello everyone I am excited to be back teaching this summer out of Bayfield Ontario!

Grand Bend Sailing School is now Lake Huron Sailing School, out of beautiful Bayfield Ontario. I am offering Sail Canada and American Sailing Association cruising courses on Lake Huron.

I will be running two Basic Cruising courses: July 10th to the 13th and Aug 14th to the 17th., and I am also available for cruising clinics to sharpen your skills or just get out on the water to gain more experience!

Only 4 months till we launch Hypnautica! Here is the schedule of courses: Sail Canada Basic Cruising: June 14-17 (mid week), June 25,26, July 2,3 ( two weekends), July 9,10, 16,17 ( two weekends), Aug 16-19 ( mid week). Our 3 hour Intro to Sailing can be booked anytime. Let’s get out on the water this summer to learn some new skills or advance your current skills sailing out of Grand Bend!

We are serious about safety at Grand Bend Sailing School. That’s why my First Mate Julie Robichaud and myself completed the STCW program at Georgian Collage in Owen Sound and are now certified in firefighting, sea survival, personal safety and rescue at sea. Hat’s off to the instructors who challenged us physically and mentally to achieve the certification. This fire was 40 million BTU’s. Having experienced the heat as it surrounded us and making our way through a smoke filled, pitch black, multi chamber fire room with full gear to extinguish the fire and drag a heavy make shift body out was no easy task. My respect for fire fighters is even greater now.

Hello all you sailors and water enthusiasts! I am now fully vaccinated. So Grand Bend Sailing School is open for business. Contact me to book a 3 hour ( Introduction) sail or a full Sail Canada Basic Cruising certification course. The 3 hour sail can be for up to four people ( kids allowed). A great way to get out on the water and learn something new!
