With hunting season getting underway, it’s an important time to keep Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) top of mind.

Take some time before heading out to familiarize yourself with current testing requirements and submission procedures.

Our CWD sample freezer is ready at the clubhouse for Golden-area hunters wishing to submit samples.

Visit our website for more CWD resources, including a helpful video from Wild Origins Canada on how to submit a deer head for testing.

With hunting season around the corner, it’s a great time to revisit the Carnivore Connectivity Project and how our members can get involved.

Hunters have an opportunity to contribute valuable genetic samples that can help researchers better understand the movement of wolves, cougars, and black bears across the landscape.

🧪 Sample kits are available at the range clubhouse. Full collection and submission instructions can be found on our website.

Hunting season will be here before we know it! 🦌

With less than a month to go, now is the time to start getting everything ready for opening day.

A little preparation now can make for a safer, smoother, and more enjoyable season when it's time to head out.

As of Monday, August 10th, the backcountry has been closed to the use of off-road vehicles due to increased wildfire risk.

This prohibition is currently scheduled to remain in place until October 9, 2026, or until the order is rescinded.

We know this changes summer plans for many of us, but these measures are critical for protecting our forests and local areas during peak wildfire season 🌲🔥
