Another look at our newly restructured Kids and Youth BJJ program!

This is our 7–9-year-old group!

At this age, students are beginning to learn more technical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including the fundamentals of submissions.

Introducing submissions in a controlled, age-appropriate environment helps kids develop body awareness, coordination, problem-solving skills, and a better understanding of how Jiu-Jitsu works.

Just as importantly, they learn control, responsibility, and respect for their training partners, including when to tap and when to release a submission.

By separating our students into three age groups, we’re able to keep classes smaller, give each child more individual attention, and teach techniques suited to their stage of development.

Our goal is to help every child build confidence, learn real skills, and progress at their own pace while having fun on the mats!

Smaller classes. Age-appropriate instruction. Stronger foundations🥋

We’ve restructured our Kids and Youth BJJ programs into three different age groups!

This change allows us to keep class sizes smaller, provide more individual attention, and focus on techniques that are appropriate for each age group.

What does this mean for parents? It means your child gets more focused coaching, learns alongside kids at a similar stage of development, and has a better opportunity to build confidence, discipline, and real skills at their own pace.

Our goal isn’t just to teach kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It’s to create an environment where every child feels supported, challenged, and excited to keep improving!

Here’s our 10–12-year-old group! Coach Shaun and Coach Grayson had a great time tonight teaching closed guard and helping these young athletes develop their skills.

Smaller groups. More focused instruction. Better opportunities for every child to grow🥋💪
