Marcia is the smiling face at Lafleche Credit Union always ready to greet and help our members - and the dedicated staff member behind the many minor hockey game programs we provide for teams in Lafleche and Glentworth.

This season, we provided over 4,000 programs to our local teams! 🏒

Well that’s a wrap on an AMAZING season!!! I have to admit it’s a little bitter sweet. I have truly enjoyed this new adventure and have loved seeing the whole community come together and support our rink. I will miss my visits with everyone but am so looking forward for things to slow down. I do have a LOT of people to thank, without these people the season would not have been nearly as successful. First off… all of the volunteers… from the ladies who helped me make thousands of burgers to the people flipping those burger, serving customers and everyone in between I am grateful for each and everyone of you. The booth couldn’t operate without you. To the rink families who spent hundreds of hours in our rink, thank you for your help in the booth, your encouragement or just our weekly visits. To the MANY people who supported the booth throughout the year. I ended up having several “regulars” on Tuesdays and Thursdays and it was so nice to see the rink be not just a place for hockey families but a community space where everyone could feel welcome to enjoy a meal and visit with their friends and neighbours. And finally to my family who didn’t send me to an institution when I agreed to take this position on HAHAHA. But in all seriousness they cheered me on and helped out a LOT. Without their love, support and understanding this season wouldn’t have been a success. So thank you to everyone and we will see what next season brings.

I’ve had a lot people ask when the last day of the booth will be. So this is what I know as of now. After the council meeting on the 17th I will post more information. As of now the ice will be in until the March 15th for sure, so bring your skates when you come for supper this week.

If you’re looking for something fun to do today come on down to the Waverley Sports Gardens to watch a bit of rec hockey and grab a burger or 2. Booth opens at 11, hockey starts at noon!!!
