Monday we had some holiday fun! One game was Defend the Snowman. We split into teams , one team had foam balls, the other tried to stop the snowman from being knocked over. Use karate skills to block! Yup, we all failed. Sometimes losing the snowman in 1.4 seconds. Great fun and the potluck was amazing!

The fall seminar starts tomorrow, Sept 22nd! We will still take new students for a couple more weeks.

The fall seminar is now accepting registrations! Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 7-8pm. You'll find it under Multi Age Fitness at the bottom.

Last night we practiced blocking and body shifting with partners, and pool noodles! It added some fun to the class while sharpening our skills.

The new session will begin September 22nd. Registration opens a couple weeks before the first class, but you can always come take in a class to see what it's all about beforehand!

Students from four different Manitoba dojos will represent IKD at the Japanese Pavilion next Monday, Aug 11th and Wednesday, Aug 13th.
Come out and get a glimpse into Shotokan karate and enjoy a great show!

Senior class at Winnipeg Budikai tonight was attended by people from every Manitoba IKD dojo. It was a fun, informative and spirited class!

Thank you Sensei Chris Lair for a challenging and thought provoking two days of training!

We learned a lot, and we were challenged to really think about what we were doing and why. The focus of the seminars was "find your centre", which applied not only to our physical body, but also our mind.

We sure appreciate you travelling from Saskatchewan to come share your knowledge. Until next time!
