Introduction to Sailing
This one-week session is ideal for new sailors who want to get started but don't have the time to commit to the two-week CANSail 1 course.

Dates:
•June 30 – July 4
•July 7 – 11
•July 14 – 18
•July 21 – 25
•July 28 – August 1
•August 11 – 15
•August 18 – 22

CANSail 1
For new sailors interested in a two-week session. Taking Introduction to Sailing beforehand is not a requirement.

Dates:
•June 30 – July 11
•July 14 – 25
•July 28 – August 1 (1-week session)
•August 11 – 22

CANSail 2
For sailors who have successfully completed the CANSail 1 program and are ready to build on their skills and confidence on the water.

Dates:
•June 30 – July 11
•July 14 – 25
•July 28 – August 1 (1-week session)
•August 11 – 22

Advanced Sailing/Race
This course is designed for sailors working on their CANSail 3 or higher levels. Currently, we can sign off on CANSail 3 and 4 certifications. Sailors at higher levels are welcome to join to further improve their sailing and racing skills while having a great time on the water!

The Gibsons Sailing Club offers sailing lessons for youth aged 8-18 in Gibsons BC, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We are proud to be a non-profit society, we’re passionate about getting people out on the water and learning to sail.

Towing 4 sailboats, 3 coach boats - and 3 Opti's on the bow!
Carly and Turbo are off to Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for 4 days of racing in the Commodores Cup Regatta with a few of the sailors from summer lessons.

Whales spotted during classes today!

Today is the last day of sailing lessons.
Last night the 7 instructors and fabulous volunteers enjoyed a "big" boat dinner cruise.
Over 200 sailors completed lessons in July and August, it's sad to see them go, but they'll be back next year!
