I always used to beat myself up on days where I felt like I didn’t do good enough in sparring. Truth is, I still do to this day.

But that’s what honestly builds you as a fighter. Showing up again after a bad day. Going back to the same sport after doubting yourself. Being hard on yourself, then using that feeling as fuel instead of letting it break you.

Not every session is going to be perfect. Some days you’ll feel sharp, some days you’ll feel like you took a step back. That’s part of the process.

The fighters who improve aren’t the ones who never struggle. They’re the ones who keep showing up when they do.

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep coming back.

I lost my first fight.

At the time, it felt like a setback. But looking back, it was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

That loss opened my eyes, showed me where I needed to improve, and gave me the motivation to work harder than ever before.

I got back in the gym, stayed consistent, and kept believing in myself.

If you’re scared to fail, remember this: I lost my first fight, and I still kept going and became a national champion. 🄊

The lesson? Don’t let one loss define you. Let it build you.
