Want to try hockey, but have no equipment or no experience? No Problem! For children between the ages of 6 - 10, the NHL/NHLPA First Shift could be the hockey program for you!

GMHA is pleased to announce that we will be holding a First Shift Program in the fall of 2026! The program is open to children between the ages of 6 and 10 who would like to try hockey but have never registered in Minor Hockey before. Registration cost is $299, which includes all equipment required to play hockey and 6 on ice sessions.

Registration will open on June 8th, with a welcome event on October 4th. All on ice sessions will take place after the welcome session, and transition programs will be offered to anyone who would like to continue playing hockey with GMHA after the 6 sessions.

There’s no stopping this kid!! Way to go Ryan Browne!!

Big record set here on the rock. Ryan Browne now holds the title for most points by a rookie in the history of the U15AAA league. The expectations for Ryan were high heading into the season, and it’s safe to say he met and exceeded them.

He passes Max McCarthy (61) and Alex Newhook (48) to become the new all-time rookie leader with 70pts.
