Originally designed as a 9-hole course, this beautiful Par 70 is now one of the most challenging yet scenic 18-holes in Newfoundland and Labrador. Set on the rolling hills of the Gander Lake, this course, newly designed by Doug Carrick, opened for the 2001 golf season. Located directly off the Trans Canada Highway in Gander, this course provides you with large sculpted greens surrounded by large,

deep, strategically placed sand traps. A modern clubhouse with a full restaurant and bar overlooking the lake provides a relaxing setting once you complete a round at Gander Golf Club.

On a blistering hot Wednesday afternoon we had 13 juniors take to the course to battle it out for our junior club championship and they did not disappoint. Coming right down to the wire on the 18th green Graham Pittman secured the victory shooting a crisp 80 edging out Max Badcock and Ryder Walters by 1 stroke. Both of the boys didn't go home empty handed as Max secured the 2nd low gross prize and Ryder walked away with the 1st low net prize of 72. William Tulloch who is on the verge of beating his old man soon came home with the 2nd low net scoring a 75. CTP winners were Liam Molloy on hole #2 and William Tulloch on hole #13.
It's been a pleasure to see this group in action all summer and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them. Congrats to you all.

Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Golden Goose Tournament, taking place over the weekend of September 19th and 20th.

Tournament Details:

▪️Two Person Scramble Format (Both Days)
▪️A, B & C Divisions
▪️Limited to 44 Teams
▪️Entry Fee $300 per team, non-refundable
▪️Entries will only be accepted once payment has been made in full
▪️All players must have a registered Golf Canada Handicap
▪️Entry Deadline: 15th September at Noon
▪️Optional Skins: $50 per team, per day.
▪️Great cash prizes!

We lucked out and had two gorgeous weather days for this year's Ladies Club Championship, which took place on August 22nd & 23rd. Conditions were prime and the trophies were up for grabs by 12 of our lovely lady members.

Big congratulations go out to our 2026 Ladies Club Champion - Margie Day! Congratulations also go out to Madison Gale - our 2026 Ladies Low Net Champion!
