And with that we bid fair well to fishing 2026.

We want to take a moment and thank all of our clients, both new and returning. We had one of our most successful fishing seasons to date. We estimated close to 500 fish were caught (and most released) this season alone.

We want to thank Kyle and Waylon for their time, dedication, energy, never ending love for the outdoors as well as everything in between that makes Teddy in the Woods what it is. Without you guys there would be way less happy fishermen and woman.

Until next summer, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and live wells.

Teddy in the woods goes international! 🌎

A few weeks back we received an email all the way from Turks and Caicos! Every year they travel to the 1000s islands to visit family and wanted to change things up this visit.

One of the family members would be celebrating a birthday and what better way to celebrate than fishing with all your family and friends!

Two guides, two boats, 8 clients and the lake.

Now when we say they caught fish, we mean they caught fish. Within four hours they pulled in 150 fish.

By the end of the day there was a live well full of fish, blisters on their thumbs and smiles a mile wide!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for another great time with Teddy In the Woods!

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, we can’t help but feel the excitement start to build. The kids go back to school, the heat of summer starts to cool and the first day of fall is nearly here.

With fall comes the best time of all…. Duck season.

The boys and girls will gather in groups, rise before the sun, trek through the woods with gear in hand and set up all before the sun. As the sun rises and the birds begin to fly the smell of gun powder fills the air with the blasts of guns near by!

Here at Teddy in the woods we look forward to a busy season with clients and sharing the excitement and enjoyment that comes with duck season!

Our books are now open for Duck season 2026! Opening day is September 26th, 2026. Reserve your spot now as this season fills up quickly!

We would like to wish a very happy birthday to our guide Waylon Donovan!

Waylon dedicates endless amount of time and energy into Teddy In The Woods and it shows! He’s always there to lend a hand, always does an amazing job guiding and is the best guide we have!

Without Waylon Teddy In The Woods just wouldn’t be the same.

This past weekend we hosted returning clients for a family weekend full of fun! Fishing, s***t shooting, and we even practiced their r***e shot!

The family stayed in our bunk house and kept busy all weekend with Kyle and Waylon hitting the lake and doing all things country 😎

Being born and raised in a small town, you learn from a young age the true sense of community; Always being willing to lend a hand when it’s needed, never keeping tabs and always being there for eachother.

Griffins Lakeside Lodge is local business that has been around for many many years and is located just north of Gananoque. Growing up in Gananoque almost everyone has heard of Griffins.
