The Galiano Fitness Centre is excited to introduce our new Fitness Centre Coordinator, Gemma Lockett!

Gemma is a born and raised Galiano Islander who is excited to step into the role of Fitness Centre Coordinator and support an accessible, and community-focused environment for all islanders. Gemma has built her career around health and movement, working as a personal trainer and helping people feel more confident and capable in their bodies. When she’s not at the fitness centre, Gemma enjoys being outdoors in nature, hiking with her dog, surfing, or exploring the trails on her mountain bike. She is currently studying to become an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, deepening her understanding of how the body functions and has the ability to heal itself. Gemma is looking forward to connecting with community members and contributing to the continued growth of the fitness centre.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dan, our outgoing Coordinator, for his dedication and contributions to the smooth running of the Fitness Centre over the last few years.

On March 23rd the Galiano Fitness Centre will be going through a well needed spring cleaning and will be cleaning out all the old shoes in the centre. If you have a pair or think you have a pair in the centre please let me know.
