Race Recap:

First and foremost, I forgot to thank Speedway 660, Ford Lincoln, and all the amazing fans for showing up at the track!

The car felt great right off the trailer and we made very little adjustments during practice as we were top 3 in both first and second practice.

The heat didn't go as planned. Coming to the green flag I accidently shifted to neutral and over-revved the car which took out both my belts. When they let go, they took out my lower rad hose and I lost all the water in the car. So we didn't finish the heat. Thanks to Randy Storey Racing's team and Joe Hoyt Motorsports, we were able to get the belts and hose fixed and filled it back up with water for the feature.

Starting on the pole, the feature went way better. We battled side by side with the 74 for a few laps before we were able to get clear and opened a bit of a lead up. It wasn't long before the 55 would catch me and he put the pressure on for essentially the whole race. With about 5 to go, he had gotten to my outside and we were running side by side for the lead. Our tires touched going into turn 1 and it seems that it cut his tire down. After that I just needed to keep the car smooth and ultimately grabbed our first feature win since we started!

I couldn't have gotten there without all my amazing sponsors, my family and friends and of course my amazing wife and daughter who have supported me with this crazy hobby.

Thanks Rick Leighton for crewing with me and Lyndon Pugh and Chris Labelle for coming to help after our heat race issues.

Congrats to Doug Matchett and Zean Dutcher on their podium finishes.

Off to Miramichi on June 6 for round 3 of the Atlantic Modified Tour!

Next sponsor announcement is another amazing group of people who have been on the car since season 1: Munn Brothers Build - Renovate - Paint!

These guys have shown me unwavering support since I started racing and it has been amazing being able to support and promote them all while watching them scale and grow to the size they are now. The results they show continue to amaze me with the quality and craftsmanship they put into everything they do. This is solidified by the numerous Platinum Community Votes awards they have received.

If you have any home renovations or improvements that you've been looking at kicking off this spring, give Munn Brothers a call and make sure it's done right the first time!

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: The Real Estate Dream Team

I'm thrilled to announce the return of two incredible partners who will be sharing the spotlight on the front nose of our car this season: Deanie Adams, REALTOR®, and Jill Drummond Mortgage Broker!

Having these two powerhouses together on the front of our mod just makes sense. Since they're both leaders in the real estate industry, they represent the ultimate one-two punch for anyone navigating the housing market.

Deanie holds aspecial place my racing history. She was our first-ever sponsor and believed in this hobby from day one. As we charge into Year 4 of our partnership, I couldn’t be more grateful for her unwavering support and loyalty in helping me do what I love to do.

Jill’s commitment to our team has been incredible as well with coming on board last season and returning again this year. With the ever chaning finance market with mortgages, especially today, her financial expertise makes her an absolute champion for her clients and someone I've personally spoken to when our mortgage was up for renewal. I wouldn't recommend her if I didn't believe she's the best person you could go to!

If you are entering the housing market, this is the duo you want in your corner. Whether you are buying your first home, upgrading, or refinancing, pairing a top-tier REALTOR® with an elite Mortgage Broker is the secret to a stress-free process.

Do yourself a favor and reach out to both Deanie and Jill to ensure your real estate experience is a flawless one!

Race Recap: The 2026 Atlantic Modified Tour underway and we completed race number one at Petty International Raceway this past weekend.

We drew 5th for our starting position and kicked off the heat from there. We dropped back to 7th and rode there for most of the heat. We managed to make a push and grabbed 6th by 0.040 seconds coming to the checker.

A minor adjustment going into the feature and the car felt a bit better. We jumped up to 3rd quickly but a caution put us back to 5th based on the last completed lap. The rest of the feature went green and we stayed between 6th and 5th. With about 5 to go, I found a line that the car liked and we started closing the gap to 4th. In a last lap push we charged the inside for a run coming to the checkered only to come up 0.009 seconds short based on the scoresheet.

Overall, we brought the car home in one piece, had no issues, and were competitive at a track I'll openly admit is my worst driving track. We prepare for round 2 in the Geary woods where we hope to put our amazing partners on the podium.

Thank you to Wade Craswell and Rick Leighton for being my crew and Brodie Lewis for taking on race control this weekend.

It has been a very long and busy off-season but we are ready to go racing and we couldn't have done it without all of our incredible partners.

More updates, photos and individual partner shout outs coming this week!

Note: it won't let me tag everyone so I'll save the tags for individual posts and include them in a comment below!

With the lack of racing updates (they're coming, I swear), how about a neat post about past and present hobbies colliding?

In 2011 I was going into University and I was on the East Side Board Supply skateboarding team. During Harvest Jazz and Blues, Queen St was closed and they set up a bunch of ramps to do a skateboarding demonstration. Also supported by East Side was Ricky Arbeau as he was competing in the Atlantic Modified Tour, and he brought his car out to be part of the demonstration with many of us launching over his car.

An interesting part of this story is that Joe Hoyt was competing for a championship and had wrecked his car earlier in the season. In a pure demonstration of what being a part of the AMT means, Ricky let Joe race his car to finish off his championship run, hence the number 17 on the side.

Fast forward to 2021, I met Joe and joined his crew that season which led me to fall in love with racing and build my own modified. I've now been with the AMT as a driver for 3 full seasons, am the current President of the Tour, and don't plan on stopping any time soon.

It's pretty wild to me that I never realized how much this picture would mean to me and how cool of a story it would tell!
