Haven't posted in awhile, but that's another story...

I wanted to take a moment to remember a quiet giant in the local recreation community.

Ben approached Active Fredericton while working for because he embraced our Spirit of The Game (not knowing it was the foundation of Ultimate frisbee).

As a budding organization, he saw opportunity for us and was a BIG reason for us having a foundation beyond frisbee in the multi-sport and youth sport areas.

He unlocked relationships for us with new facilities, community organizations, sports clubs, and professional connections that still hold fast today.

Ben was a natural leader and an optimist. He always saw opportunity in the obstacle and never quit.

He kicked life's ass!

Exciting News for the Fredericton Ultimate Community! 🥏

Members of the Fredericton Ultimate board and Active Fredericton met on April 9th for a productive discussion. We’re thrilled to announce that both groups have reached an agreement: there will be one unified summer league run by Ultimate.

As part of this agreement, will honor all of ’s sponsorship commitments through the remainder of 2025. This means post-game socials will continue at , and the popular 2-for-1 deal will remain available to all players! 🍻

Active Fredericton will continue independently running all non-Ultimate related activities. In the future, we may explore opportunity to collaborate with fundraisers and social activities.

We understand that many members were concerned about the possibility of competing leagues, and we hope this update brings reassurance and excitement for the season ahead. While a few details are still being finalized, this is a major and positive step forward for our Ultimate community.

Stay tuned for more updates on field bookings and registration—we can’t wait to get summer league up and running! ☀️
