The Black Bears Wrestling Club has adopted a mission statement to guide its strategic initiatives and actions. The Mission of the Black Bears is: to put their wrestlers on the podium at National Championships and International competitions. The Black Bears Wrestling Club strives to be recognized nationally as a leader in the pursuit of achievement of excellence in amateur wrestling via athlete and

coach development. Partnership development with the provincial government and the Canada Sport Center Atlantic will help us achieve our goals. Funding received here today will be used to enhance the training and competitions for our athletes preparing for upcoming competitions including the world championships, Commonwealth championships, Pan Am Games and future national championships. The Black Bears Wrestling Club trains out of the wrestling room in the High Performance Training Centre in the Lady Beaverbrook Gymnasium on the University of New Brunswick Campus.

Samantha Stewart, executive director of Lutte Wrestling NB and bronze medalist at the 2021 World Championships, is heading to Acapulco Mexico this week, representing Canada at the Senior Pan-American wrestling championships.

Lutte New Brunswick Wrestling (LNBW) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Fall High Performance Training camp for our Junior- and Senior-aged athletes, those aged 18+ (athletes born 2003 and older). The camp will feature one of New Brunswick's most decorated wrestlers - Promise Mwenga!

The camp will take place November 6th, 7th, and 8th in the UNB Wrestling Room, Fredericton. There will be two 2hr sessions per day and the camp fee is $40/athlete for LNBW members and $50/athlete for non-LNBW members. Proof of full vaccination status will be required to participate in the camp. Registration can be done at: luttenbwrestling.ca/hp-camp

Lutte New-Brunswick Wrestling (LNBW) a le plaisir d'annoncer qu'elle organisera un camp d'entraînement de haute performance à l'automne pour ses athlètes d'âge junior et senior, soit ceux âgés de 18 ans et plus (athlètes nés en 2003 et plus). Le camp mettra en vedette l'un des lutteurs les plus décorés du Nouveau-Brunswick - Promise Mwenga!

Le camp aura lieu les 6, 7 et 8 novembre dans la salle de lutte de l'UNB, à Fredericton. Il y aura deux sessions de 2 heures par jour et les frais de camp sont de $40/athlète pour les membres de la LNBW et de $50/athlète pour les non-membres de la LNBW.
