Data from the RCMP's 2025 Commissioner of Fi****ms Report, first reported by TheGunBlog, shows there were 2,458,677 Canadians holding a PAL as of Dec. 31, 2025.

That's an increase of nearly 47,000 licence holders from the previous year and a 1.9% annual gain.

Every province and territory saw growth.

Ontario added the largest number of new licence holders, with 15,221 additional PAL holders, followed by Alberta and British Columbia, each adding more than 10,000. Quebec surpassed 500,000 licensed gun owners for the first time in nearly two decades.

The figures come after years of federal efforts to restrict fi****ms ownership, including the 2020 Order-in-Council gun ban, a national handgun freeze, ongoing confiscation plans and repeated attempts to portray licensed gun owners as a public safety problem.

Instead, the number of licensed fi****ms owners has continued to climb.

Good news archery members and general members, all archery ranges are fully open now. This means the hunting deck, butt range, lower and upper 3D ranges. All new 3D targets have been installed.

On the first Saturday in June annually, the Lower Trent Valley Fish and Game Club successfully hosted its annual Youth Day Event, drawing a crowd of enthusiastic young participants and their families. The event featured a range of engaging activities. Attendees enjoyed hands-on experiences, making for a memorable day of education and fun. The club's efforts marked another successful year for this beloved community event.

Wow, just over 425 people, 225 kids at our annual Youth Day today. 4,000 rounds of 22lr in both rifles and handguns and 500 20g and 410g shotgun rounds put down range. What a fantastic day it was at the club with all these kids and adults.

Looking forward to 2027.
