Skate AB|NT|NU is pleased to offer a Membership Survey to gather feedback from members on the services provided during the 2024-2025 season. The Membership Survey pertains to interactions with the Section (Skate AB|NT|NU) and is tailored based on a respondent’s level of interaction with the Section Office. It will take between two and six minutes to complete (the high end for those with many/diverse interactions with the Section Office).

We encourage each Club/School, Official and Coach to complete the survey but ask that Clubs/Schools also forward an email with the Survey link to your members as we’re looking to engage as many participants as possible. The Survey link will be available via social media over the next few weeks and will remain open until Friday April 25, 2025.

Wow! What an amazing season, I am still questioning how it is over; it flew by so fast.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand (big or small) in the carnival. It was better than I visioned!
This club has always been amazing when putting together the ice show. Something I will miss. The skaters all had an incredible time this weekend and their costumes looked amazing!

Thank you to my fellow coaches, Shari and Michelle (and Caitlin - last season). Thank you to The program assistants (current and past), we couldn’t run the program as well as we do without your support.

Thank you to:
Liba for coordinating the volunteers last week
Jeff for making the posters and program.
Ice captains and runners, Laura, Erin, Vina, Liba
Mike for being a consistent voice for almost 30 years for the show.
Erika for playing music.
The decorators, Emily for painting the backdrop.
Kikoaks for supplying the sound system
Board members for working at the door, selling flowers and their support all season: Kristy, Liba, Celestine, Katie, Isabella, Farrah, Heather and Jessica.
Thank you to all who came out for the adult number. Might be a record number. 🙂

23 years has allowed me to work with so many incredible volunteers and town staff and I have always appreciated the support.

Thank you, Town of Fort Smith Rec and Maintenance staff. A specific thank you from me to the maintenance staff for allowing me to skate in the mornings the past few seasons. I owe my competition successes and my continued growth as a coach to having this time.

My biggest thank you is to the skaters, present and past. I have had a blast and it was such a pleasure to have watched so many skaters grow up with the club. Always touching when some have come back as adults. I have also had the pleasure to represent the Fort Smith Skating Club at numerous competitions across Canada and while I will now be with another club I will always have the Fort Smith SC in my heart.

So many moments in my time with this club, many incredible, as well as some challenging ones but we overcame everything. I won’t say good bye. I will say see you later. Hopefully in an arena somewhere down the line.

(But before I go, I do hope to see everyone to wrap up the season at the year-end award gathering. Watch your emails/facebook for the date.)

This group of star skaters improved so much this season. Every single skater in this group took at least one star assessment. Between them all they passed 35 Star assessments!

Great rehearsal last night. Maybe one of the smoothest I have been a part of.
Thank you to everyone.

I am looking forward to tonight!

Practices today:
1:00 - 2:00: StarSkate
2:00 - 3:00: Adult Eel practice.
5:00 - 5:30: all skaters arrive at the arena.

*Skaters should stay in or near the dressing room so ice captains can find them. If they want to sit in the stands they should stay together on the curtain side. Don't go into the lobby in their costumes.
