What are we looking for in our new board members?
Dependable people who can attend meetings, come prepared, and follow through.
A willingness to learn and work respectfully as a team.
Good judgment, confidentiality, and integrity.
A commitment to athlete safety and the long-term success of the whole club.
An understanding of the board’s governance role and respect for the Executive Director’s responsibility for operations.
We’re hoping to build a team with a mix of experience in:
• Board leadership and nonprofit governance
• Finance, accounting, and budgeting
• Human resources and senior staff recruitment
• Foreign worker hiring, LMIAs, and work permits
• Legal matters, policy, and risk management
• Strategic planning
• Fundraising, sponsorships, and community connections
• Facilities and equipment planning
You don’t need to have every skill listed! We’re looking for people whose strengths complement one another and who are ready to contribute their time and knowledge.
