Frontline Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st in observance of Canada Day.
We hope everyone enjoys the holiday with family and friends while celebrating everything that makes Canada such a great place to live.

Please note that our Kids Kickboxing class has moved!

The Thursday 6:00 PM class will no longer be running. We’re excited to continue helping our young athletes build confidence, fitness, discipline, and striking skills every Tuesday evening!

Meet Serghei Cebotari. One of Frontline Fort McMurrays instructors. Serghei began his Judo journey at the age of 10 in Moldova 🇲🇩, training for five years and becoming a National Champion during that time. Early success on the national stage built the foundation of his competitive mindset and technical discipline.

After moving to Canada 🇨🇦, Serghei reignited his passion for Judo and continued competing at a high level. His achievements include:

🏆 2x Alberta Provincial Champion
🥉 Alberta Provincial Bronze Medalist
🥇 Edmonton International Championship Gold Medalist
🥈 Edmonton International Championship Silver Medalist
🥈 Rocky Mountain Championship Silver Medalist

In addition to Judo, Serghei continues to develop his grappling through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, blending traditional Judo fundamentals with modern combat applications.

As an athlete and coach, he emphasizes strong basics, explosive throws, grip dominance, conditioning, and mental toughness. His philosophy is simple: build discipline, sharpen technique, and never stop improving.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out for our seminar this weekend at Frontline Fort McMurray 🙏

We had an incredible turnout and an even better atmosphere on the mats. Nothing beats a room full of people all looking to get better, push themselves, and support each other.

A big thank you to Professor for making the trip all the way from Miami to share his knowledge with us. The details, the concepts, and the time he gave to everyone meant a lot.

This is what it’s all about learning, growing, and building something special here in our community.

Yesterday’s Kids Helping Kids seminar was something special.

A huge thank you to all the kids who showed up, worked hard, and supported something bigger than themselves. And to the parents thank you for encouraging your kids to be part of something that truly makes a difference. Because of you, we’re able to help impact the lives of other kids in a meaningful way.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our guest instructor, , for traveling all the way from Miami to spend a couple of days with us and share his knowledge. Your time, energy, and insight meant a lot to our team.
