The Fort McMurray Oilsands Curling Club would like to extend a huge congratulations to Becky Fadden on being named Curling Alberta’s highly coveted Ice Tech of the Year!

Becky received multiple nominations for this incredible recognition, and we are beyond proud to have her as part of our club family. Not only is Becky an outstanding ice technician, but she consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of our club. From creating a welcoming environment for members and guests, to serving as an amazing ambassador for curling, to bringing forward creative new ideas and helping make them a reality, Becky’s passion and dedication shine through in everything she does.

Her hard work, commitment, and positive energy have made a lasting impact on our club and community, and this recognition is so well deserved.

What a fantastic weekend at the Fort McMurray Oil Sands Curling Club!

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work developing a strategic plan focused on the future of our club. Throughout the weekend, we worked on building our mission, vision, and future goals centered around club growth, member engagement, and operational strategies.

A huge thank you to Bobby Ray from Business of Curling for facilitating the session, along with our guests from Curling Canada, Cori Morris and Atina Johnston from Curling Alberta for sharing their knowledge and insight.

We look forward to compiling all the ideas that were discussed and presenting them to our Board, our members, and the community as we work togetger with a united vision.
