ASDC athletes participated in a nutrition session on how to pack a healthy lunch. Athletes walked away with a weeks worth of bento box ideas to fuel their body for performance.

ASDC NE Athlete of the month: Ruben, figure skating at Noralta Skating Club

Ruben is the epitome of a great athlete. He is dedicated, committed and needs no help to be motivated. Keep up the awesome work Ruben!

I am a 14 years old and have been training with ASDC since the summer of 2017. Since then, I noticed a great deal of improvement not just on the track at Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre, on the ice, but also in my every day life.

In my spare time I enjoy building LEGO, playing mine craft, flight sim games, and following the world of a aviation. When I grow up I hope to one day become a paediatrician or a commercial pilot.

Coaches are an integral part of the sports systems. This upcoming week from September 21-29th is National coaches week, this is an opportunity for us to recognize the hard work, dedication and commitment from the coaches within the region.

On September 28th we invite all coaches in the Wood Buffalo region to join us for a coaches appreciation breakfast. We will serve breakfast, have speakers present on a few different topics and of course we will have some prizes to give away to those coaches in attendance.
