Player of the Game – #13 Danica Martin

Danica was strong all game long. She did a great job breaking up plays and keeping their offense to the outside, shutting down time and space with confidence.

Dani saw the ice well last tonight, staying patient and delivering crisp first passes out of our zone to get the transition going. And she wasn’t done there — she found herself on the scoresheet again with a hard shot from the point.

It was a night of hard net-front battles, and Leigha went to work. Through skates, sticks, and traffic, she hunted down loose pucks and cleared the danger.

Playing like our third defense out there, Leigha battled for every inch in front of our net and made life tough for the opposition. Gritty, determined, and all heart last tonight. 💪🥅

Travel hockey: where the schedule says “5:30 PM puck drop” but doesn’t mention the 6-hour bus ride, the lunch stop, and the possibility of becoming pioneers on Highway Nowhere. 🚌❄️

Nothing builds team bonding like -30°C, a bus that decides it also needs a timeout, and a group chat full of parents Googling “nearest heated building.”

In travel hockey, we don’t just battle in the corners — we battle frostbite, snowbanks, and the character-building experience of being “temporarily parked” on the side of the highway.
