Player of the Game – #13 Danica Martin

Danica was strong all game long. She did a great job breaking up plays and keeping their offense to the outside, shutting down time and space with confidence.

Dani saw the ice well last tonight, staying patient and delivering crisp first passes out of our zone to get the transition going. And she wasn’t done there — she found herself on the scoresheet again with a hard shot from the point.

Steady, smart, and making an impact at both ends of the ice. Great game, Dani! 🔥🏒

Grinder Award – #31 Leigha MacLean

It was a night of hard net-front battles, and Leigha went to work. Through skates, sticks, and traffic, she hunted down loose pucks and cleared the danger.

Playing like our third defense out there, Leigha battled for every inch in front of our net and made life tough for the opposition. Gritty, determined, and all heart last tonight. 💪🥅

Travel hockey: where the schedule says “5:30 PM puck drop” but doesn’t mention the 6-hour bus ride, the lunch stop, and the possibility of becoming pioneers on Highway Nowhere. 🚌❄️

Nothing builds team bonding like -30°C, a bus that decides it also needs a timeout, and a group chat full of parents Googling “nearest heated building.”

In travel hockey, we don’t just battle in the corners — we battle frostbite, snowbanks, and the character-building experience of being “temporarily parked” on the side of the highway.

Good thing these girls are tough. If you can play in Alberta winter, you can survive anything. 💙🏒

🚨 First Goal Alert – #13 Danica Martin! 🚨

Stepping up to fill a forward spot this weekend, Danica made the most of her opportunity! Her aggressive play and strong drives to the net paid off with a well-earned goal.

Love seeing that compete level turn into results — way to step up, #13! 💙🐾

🏒 Grinder Award – #8 Paisley Warrington!

Paisley did all the little things right today. From battling hard along the boards, to chipping pucks out under pressure, to keeping an active stick in the neutral zone — she made the plays that help a team compete every shift.

It’s those gritty, detail-focused efforts that make a difference. Way to go, #8! 💙🐾

🏒 Player of the Game – #3 Blaire Stuckless!

Blaire brought the grit today! She played a strong, physical game and didn’t back down from battles in front of the net or in the corners. She read the play well, jumped in at the right moments, and her aggressiveness along the blue line made it tough for Lloydminster Blazers to transition into offense.

Way to compete, #3! 💙🐾
