🏒 Season Wrap: Thompson Infinity U18AA Junior Oil Barons 🏒
What a season it has been for the Thompson Infinity U18AA Junior Oil Barons.
Over the course of 32 games, this team battled through every shift, every challenge, and every moment together, finishing their regular season with 17 wins, 3 ties, and 12 losses. After a 3 game sweep during the play down round robin, they proudly brought home the U18AA Northern Division Banner for Fort McMurray.
Their journey came down to a thrilling final game against Camrose, ending in a 5–4 result that closed the door on the path to Provincials. While the ending was heartbreaking; the determination, resilience, and heart this group showed right until the final buzzer is something everyone involved can be incredibly proud of.
This season also marks the farewell to nine graduating senior players who have spent years growing up in minor hockey. Through early mornings, long road trips, practices, and countless games, you’ve left your mark not only on this team but on the Fort McMurray hockey community. Your leadership, grit, and love for the game set the standard for those who follow. And of course, the team will never forget the importance of working hard, being a great teammate, and the legendary power of a grilled hig.
