Policies and Etiquette
• The Fitness Centre is an open gym format. As such, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
• You are welcome to bring a personal trainer to the gym with you, however, ALL PARTICIPANTS (including personal trainers) MUST HAVE A PAID MEMBERSHIP.
• The Fitness Centre operates on the HONOUR SYSTEM. If we
find you using the gym without a membership, or if you have given the code to others who have not paid, you and they will be BANNED FOR LIFE!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
• Monthly membership fees are non-refundable. It is up to you to make time to use the facility.
• The Maximum capacity of the Fitness Centre is ____ users.
• Minimum age of participants – 14 years old.
• Proper athletic footwear and gym attire must be worn. Gym shoes must be clean and free of debris. Jeans, open-toed shoes, sandals, or sock feet are not permitted.
• Please report any equipment problems, injuries, emergencies, and undesirable behavior to the staff at Fort Macleod Chiropractic or at Larson’s Tire as soon as possible. Please be safe and use good judgment.
• If you are new to exercise please consult your physician to ensure you can safely participate. If you have any questions about the equipment or exercise in general, Dr. Alan and Dr. Aaron at Fort Macleod Chiropractic are available for instruction and consultation.
• When using free-weights and stability equipment know your limits. Have an experienced spotter for assistance.
• Be aware of the space around you and what others may be using.
• Ensure all safety collars, clips, pins, and bars are secure and properly adjusted before using any piece of fitness equipment or free-weights. Please be courteous.
• Be mindful of others waiting to use the equipment. If needs be, please limit the use of cardio machines to 30 minutes maximum. Allow others to ‘work in’ when using a machine, rack, or bench.
• Return all equipment, free-weights, plates, and fitness accessories to their respective spots. Wipe down ALL equipment you've used with the disinfectant.
• As we share the building with other businesses that operate throughout the day, please be mindful of the noise you create. Televisions are to be kept on mute with closed captioning. Personal audio devices with earphones are recommended. Keep your hooting and hollering to a minimum. Occasional grunting is acceptable.
• Refrain from dropping any dumbbell, barbell, or weight plate. Most important of all: HAVE FUN!!!
