The last week of school calls for something special, and Midnight Days Pro Rodeo fits the bill for the whole family.

Kids 12 and under get free admission to the rodeo, and there's something for every age. The little ones can take on sheep in mutton-busting (registration opens at 5:30 pm each night; just $5 to enter). Older kids will be on the edge of their seats watching trick riding and being entertained by Dennis the Rodeo Clown.
Beyond the arena, the Western Market and food trucks offer something for everyone. Stick around for trick riders, live entertainment, and the energy of a real pro rodeo. On Friday night, there's a live cabaret featuring the local band Don't Tell Mama if you want to make a full evening of it.

Three days. World-class competition. Small-town heart. No better way to send off the school year than creating memories together at Midnight Stadium.

Midnight Days Pro Rodeo attracts the best professional rodeo athletes from Canada and the USA. As a CPRA and PRCA-sanctioned event, we draw top-tier competitors fighting for national rankings and major prize money. Many of these high-level athletes are "homegrown" right here in southern Alberta.

Watch some of these elite riders and ropers compete at the highest level of the sport. June 24–26 at Midnight Stadium in Fort MacLeod.

Our rodeo honours the legacy of Midnight, widely regarded as the greatest bucking horse in rodeo history. Born on the McNab ranch near Fort MacLeod in 1916, Midnight was nearly unrideable throughout his career and was later inducted into the Canadian Rodeo Hall of Fame and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Most recently, he was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2025.

On July 9, 1967, the Fort MacLeod rodeo grounds were officially named Midnight Stadium in his honour. The inscription on his statue says it best: "𝘏𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘦."
