HAPPY CANADA DAY!!🇨🇦

It was an amazing canada day! Huge shout out to the Beyak group for funding our canada day tube rides!

Today was our first day out on the lake and someone very special was missing. We pay tribute to Shawna Lee McRitchie, we know how proud she would be to see us on the lake once again.

Thank you to all of the tube riders today, we had a blast seeing all of your smiling faces!!

We all have lost a truly amazing women. Sunset Water Sports has lost Shawna McRitchie. I have known Shawna for 45 years, we have grown up together from birth, she was always so cheerful and lit up any room with her beautiful smile. I have so many amazing memories because of her.

Shawna and I started this business from our love and passion for the lake and we love helping people make memories. After we started SWS, she started to develop mobility issues. We decided we wanted to make the lake accessible for everyone, after seeing the struggles of our community, family, and friends.

She was the first one to ride the sit ski and on her first ride, she had the biggest smile and tears of joy. She loved the freedom and the boost of confidence that the lake gave her.

People often mistook us as a married couple, we would laugh and say " we are more like siblings".

I am deeply saddened to say my goodbyes, and I will be doing everything possible to make her proud and keep the passion she had for what we are doing.

Please I would love for you all to send in pictures and share any stories or memories you had, it would be greatly appreciated.

This world has lost an amazing women and heaven has gained an amazing angel.

September 1, 2021 will be the end of our season this year.
We had some much fun met so many new faces and had so many great things happen for us.
Thank you to everyone who came out on the lake with us, those who supported us during the TBay tell for good campaign., Fairstone for sponsoring an event, Lyons Club for their generous donation, KRRCFS for their Partnership, RRFDC for all of the help they give us, TOFF and The Moffit Fund for believe in our project, West End Motors for the amazing deal on the trailer, Merna from the Newspaper for all the amazing articles about us and especially our amazing Volunteers, without your dedication and hard work SWS wouldn’t be who we are.

THANK YOU EVERYONE and we will see you back on the lake in May 2022 with more new and exciting things!!!!
