Borderland Judo Club

Borderland Judo Club The Borderland Judo Club Judo is a popular martial arts style and Olympic sport with a rich, though relatively recent history.

Breaking the term judo down, ju means “gentle” and do “means the way or path.” Thus, judo translates to "the gentle way." A judoka is someone who practices judo. Beyond being a popular martial art, judo is also a combat sport.

Help! I'm trying to put together the history of the Borderland (Fort Frances) Judo Club. Over the years since its inception in 1964/65 there has to have been a thousand or so people that have been members of our club. If any of you have pictures from your time at the club and/or can share what years you attended, who your sensei was and where the classes were held it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To try and save time tonight and to avoid confusion, if you've registered with Judo Ontario just show us a copy of your Judo Ontario card on messenger, or even just a copy of the receipt if you can't access the card. Thanks.

Everyone planning on going on the mats must bring proof of registering with Judo Ontario with them their first night out. A screenshot or a printout will work. Judo Ontario is in the middle of installing a new program called Dokume and they've only got it partly implemented so I can't access our club information to see who has registered. You also need to make sure to set up a Dokume account to tie into your Judo Ontario account. [https://judocanada.dokume.app/ #/login](https://judocanada.dokume.app/...) See less
