⛳... congratulations Stefi Markovich on capturing the 2026 Ontario Senior Women’s Match Play Championship at Cataraqui Golf and Country Club.

Competing against many of the top senior women golfers in the province, Stefi put together an incredible championship run against a very strong field. In the semifinal match, she defeated Canadian Golf Hall of Famer Mary Ann Hayward 3 & 2 before following it up with a hard-fought 1 up victory over the championship’s #1 seed, Lise Jubinville, in the final.

This latest title adds another remarkable chapter to an already impressive golfing résumé, and we know the entire membership joins us in celebrating this outstanding achievement.

🍾… congratulations to our 64th Annual Lookout Point Invitational Champion, Justin Smith (Donalda Club), winner of the inaugural Aldo Bortolon Trophy as Low Gross Champion. Justin carded a 73 and emerged victorious in a three-player playoff that included the defending champion, capping off a memorable finish to this year’s event.

Events like the LP Invitational are the result of countless hours of preparation and teamwork. We extend our sincere thanks to our Course & Grounds crew for presenting the course in outstanding condition, and to our Golf Operations and Food & Beverage teams for their dedication, planning, and hospitality in the weeks leading up to and throughout the tournament. Their efforts helped create an exceptional experience for all involved.

Thank you as well to all of our participants for making this year’s Invitational such a success. We hope you enjoyed your time at Lookout Point, the challenge of the course, and the camaraderie that makes this event so special.

From incredible shots and memorable finishes to the many standout performances throughout the weekend, there were countless highlights and special moments that made this year’s Invitational one to remember. 🏆... for 64 years, the Lookout Point Invitational has been an opportunity to showcase our course, our Club, and the game of golf at Lookout Point. While the championship itself is decided over a single day, each playing is ultimately a reflection of the countless hours, and daily commitment that go into presenting the course throughout the season.

For more than 50 of those 64 Invitationals, that responsibility belonged to Aldo Bortolon. Through decades of dedication, Aldo helped shape not only the conditions competitors experienced each year, but also the reputation of the event itself.

In recognition of that extraordinary contribution, we are proud to announce the renaming of the historic T.H. Brooke Trophy to the Aldo Bortolon Trophy. A fitting tribute to a person whose impact on the Invitational, and on Lookout Point, will continue to be felt for generations to come.
