Swim Lesson Options in the Elk Valley

🏊We're one week away from reopening the pool and we have some important updates!

🔸New Wristband System:
To increase swimmer safety, starting Sept. 9, all patrons will be issued a wristband each time they use the facility. The new system will assist lifeguards to quickly identify swimmers who require direct adult supervision and distinguish public swimmers from participants in registered programs.

🔸Drop-in Hush Swims:
Starting Sept. 14, the Aquatic Centre is offering Hush Swims – an opportunity to enjoy the water with less sensory distractions.
Drop-In Sundays from 10:00am – 11:00am.

Only 2 spots remaining for our final Fall set - for Saturday mornings at the Fernie Aquatic Center. These 45 minute, small group classes of 4 include stroke development, deep water survival skills and Lifesaving skills. Suitable for 7-14 year olds who are competent in deep water and can swim around 25m independently; from strong beginners to advanced swimmers.​

Fall Registration Now Open!

After teaching over 500 swimmers over the last 5 years, this will be our 20th and final season running. Come join us for privates, semi-privates, family lessons or babies & toddlers at a hotel pool in Fernie, or small groups of intermediate-advanced swimmers (including lifesaving skills) at the Fernie Aquatic Center. Adaptive, calm and compassionate approach; specialized in supporting swimmers with diverse learning needs, disabilities or strong fears around the water (plus Autism Swim certified).
