Flat bench works the overall chest evenly.

Incline bench shifts the emphasis more to upper chest and front of shoulders. Upper pec fibres are pulling your arms up towards the collarbone.

Decline bench gives you less shoulder involvement. This movement often feels stronger because range of motion can be slightly shorter.

Make your workouts summer friendly by training earlier or later in the day to avoid peak heat. Warmer weather increases heart rate and sweat production which can improve endurance over time. Shorten intense sessions slightly and focus on hydration.

Different equipment changes the resistance, movement pattern,stability demands and how stable or unstable the load feels.
Where, when, and how much tension a muscle or joint experiences throughout your range of motion is your loading profile. By using different types of equipment (free weight, barbells, cables) the force changes during the movement.
Free weights incorporate more stability as each arm moves independently from the other.. more control is needed .
Cables provide more of a consistent tension through the entire movement.

The rotator cuff is a group of 4 shoulder muscles that stabilize the shoulder joint and control rotation.

Include external and internal rotational strengthening, wall slides and scapular pushups. Use very light weights or no weights at all so you can isolate the rotator cuff instead of letting the bigger muscles ( chest, lats) take over.

Cuff strength = Shoulder longevity
