You think you’re balanced…
You think you’re holding your finish…

VIDEO DOESN’T LIE!

In the next part of our FIX YOUR BOWLS DELIVERY FASTER series, we’re looking at two sneaky habits that can seriously affect consistency:

👀 HEAD MOVEMENT
Are you lifting early, drifting sideways or taking your eyes off the target?

⚖️ FALLING AWAY AFTER RELEASE
Are you pulling back, stepping off-line or abandoning the shot before the bowl is on its way?

The fixes can be surprisingly simple:

✅ Keep your eyes locked on your aiming point
✅ Stay down through the delivery
✅ Hold your finish for 2–3 seconds
✅ Let the bowl go before you go chasing it! 😜

🎥 Record yourself. Watch it back. Spot the little things.

Because sometimes the difference between “Why do I keep doing that?!” and consistent bowls is one small adjustment.

What a great day for a tournament to wrap up the 2026 summer youth program. We had 16 participants and thanks to a very generous sponsorship from the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association everyone went home with something. A big shout out to the numerous volunteers and our hidden heros, the grounds crew for making a great surface for us to play on.

🏁🔥 BOWLS IS BASICALLY FORMULA 1… JUST WITH A MUCH BETTER PIT STOP! 😂🍺

Think about it…

🏎️ Formula 1: Track conditions change constantly.
🔥 Bowls: Nobody knows how fast the green is until the first bowl disappears into another postcode. 😂

🏎️ Formula 1: Drivers fight for the perfect overtaking move.
🔥 Bowls: We call ours a WICK… and then pretend we planned it. 😎

🏎️ Formula 1: Strategy can win the race.
🔥 Bowls: Line. Weight. Hand. Shot selection… and occasionally PURE LUCK. 🤣

🏎️ Formula 1: Pit stop for tyres.
🔥 Bowls: PIT STOP AT THE BAR. 🍺🍺🍺

And let's be fair…

When someone gets a ridiculous wick, takes the shot, steals the end and casually says:

👉 “I'll take it.”

That is basically the bowls version of an OVERTAKE ON THE FINAL LAP! 😂🏁

Same passion.
Different surface.
WAY BETTER COMPANY. 💚

Congratulations to Gary and helpers for getting our newest acquisition up and running. Mowing the green just went from a two hour workout to a half hour ride. Should make life so much easier on our greens team volunteers.
