Day 8, 9 and 10
Numas Island Anchorage with stern tie.
Shelter Bay Beach Fire and sauna.
Cooked pancakes under full sail.
sailed through the night on the summer solstice.
Caught a spring salmon yesterday and cooked it for breakfast this morning.
Morale is very high!

R2AK Day 6 and 7.
left Kelsey Bay and celebrated the end of Johnstone Strait with a beach pit stop for a fire and swim in the ocean. The continued rowing through the night and arrived in Port McNeill at 0730 today. Then we cleaned the boat, had showers, ate out for lunch and left at 1500. also Devils Bath Brewing left us some beer and a note as well!

We realized y’all probably have no idea what duff is and so our team name might be confusing. in the Royal Canadian Navy duff is jackspeak for dessert or treats. We love dessert and victory to us looks a lot like double duffin’ up in Ketchikan.

Day 3, and we had to think about that for a minute. Rivalries, races within races, the power of a shower, and rowing hard through the first night to take our rightful place in the middle of the pack. Sleeping and cooking stations are evolving. We’re going into some wet and wind today with drinks a steamjn’ and tunes a bumpin’. Morale is higher than our pointing ability.

We had a fantastic time at this weekend. Many thanks to the event organizers and everyone who made it happen.

Rain, shine, wind, and the infamous wind holes - we had it all. And we loved it. We came home with some lessons learned and a list of things to improve for the big one ( ).
