Premier Mountain Bike Shop located in the heart of Esquimalt, BC. Family owed and operated. Marty’s Mountain Cycle opened in 1989 on Esquimalt road.

As a teenager, Marty was an avid BMX racer and freestyler. His love of bikes shifted towards mountain biking in the mid 80’s and soon he had his own store. As his passion for cycling grew, so did the need for bigger, better locations and over the years, Marty’s Mountain Cycle grew into the store it is today at 1-1258 Esquimalt way. Over the past years, Marty has developed the store into a premiere destination for Mountain and Road bikers alike. He, along with his family and dedicated staff, take pride in selling cycling as a lifestyle sport for everyone from child to adult.

Want to see what bikes our employees are riding? Swipe for a bike check!

Juan is on our flagship Rocky Mountain Altitude size X-Large. He’s all about those long chain stays! His build is topped off with some Chris King Precision Components hubs, post clamp and coffee tamper (yes he has one of these). Favourite tire brand: Maxxis Tires

Representing the island, Jack is on a Forbidden Bike Company Dreadnought S2, short enough for those classic British rut tracks he’s used and a bike burly enough for anything he can throw at it.
Favourite tire brand: Schwalbe Tires

Sponsored by his hometown shop in Alberta (Ridley's Cycle - Southern Alberta’s Bike Store), Chris is running a large Trek Fuel ex full XT Di2 build. With some of the best parts in the business, including Reserve Wheels he’s perfectly set up for smashing through rock gardens at your local enduro race.
Favourite tire brand: Continental MTB

Fastest in the shop, Finn is on a Transition Bikes spire size Large. Fighting at the sharp end of most races, his build is no expense spared with a brand new RockShox Zeb B1.
Favourite tire brand: Schwalbe Tires
