We took 2nd place this weekend at the final regular season event for Despite missing two of our core members Dillon and Clayton Rizzardo, we left it all on the field, with a hard fought battle until ultimately loosing to Attrition in the last 4 seconds of overtime in the finals.

This leaves us tied for 1st heading into the Canada Cup. It won’t be the same without Dillon by our side on the field and in the pits, but winning for him provides us some extra motivation to secure the series title for the 3rd season in a row.

We’re overwhelmed by the incredible support shown for our team and Dillon this weekend. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. This event will be different as we prepare for a battle on the field while our friend, brother, and teammate Dillon Rizzardo fights a different battle off the field.

Earlier this week, Dillon was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season to focus on his battle with leukemia. It was a tough decision to play this weekend despite the news. Dillon has been a core member of this team since its inception, missing only one event due to a broken hand. He’s the player every team dreams of having, with his relentless determination to win in every scenario and his incredible ability to pull out clutch moments to win matches. We will each be channelling a bit of Dillon’s spirit on the field in every game and every point. We’re playing this weekend for Dillon every match, every point. He will be deeply missed on the field and in the pits. We will battle as hard as we can, just as he is right now.

Yesterday’s win at the Canada Cup felt different. It wasn’t just another win—it was the culmination of years of hard work, countless hours of practice, and the weight of expectation. We’ve all felt the nerves of going into a tournament prepared and hungry for a win, but this time, coming off 5 straight victories and last year’s season title, there was a responsibility. We owed it to ourselves—for all the early mornings, the close 3rd and 2nd place finishes, and the days we showed up to work injured and with no voices.

Without yesterday’s win to secure back-to-back Season Champion status, the previous five would have meant nothing. This season has been four years in the making, and with the target on our backs bigger than ever, we’ve never felt more prepared to carry that pressure into the next event.

Huge thanks to Derrick and OPL for hosting another incredible season. We’re proud to have solidified another Premier Division 1st Overall and can’t wait to do it all over again next year—one win at a time.
