🚨🐧NEW PLAYER ALERT🐧🚨The East Hants Penguins are proud to announce that defenceman Loch Morrison has officially signed with the club for the upcoming season.
Morrison, a 28-year-old native of Prince Albert, SK, brings an elite pedigree and a right-handed shot to the Penguins’ defensive corps. Known for his strong presence at 6’1” and 198 lbs, Morrison has proven his ability to shutdown opponents while contributing heavily to the scoresheet.

His hockey journey highlights a wealth of high-level experience:

196 career games in the WHL with Calgary, Prince Albert, and Victoria.

A spectacular 2017-18 SJHL campaign with the Melfort Mustangs, where he produced 19 goals and 48 assists for 67 points in just 55 games.

Four seasons competing at the USports level for Acadia University, making him a familiar elite talent to Nova Scotia hockey fans.

“We are incredibly excited to add a player of Loch’s caliber to our lineup,” said team management. “His combination of size, skill, and elite league experience makes our back end instantly more dynamic.”

The East Hants Penguins are excited to welcome back Tyler Noseworthy for the 2026-27 season!

Tyler made an immediate impact in his first season with the Penguins, recording 20 points in just 15 games and finishing 12th in league scoring. His offensive ability, consistency, and leadership were key factors in our success throughout the year.

Beyond the scoresheet, Tyler brings a valuable veteran presence to our locker room and sets the standard with his work ethic and commitment every day.

We’re thrilled to have Tyler back in black and gold as we continue building toward another successful season.

The East Hants Penguins are excited to announce the signing of Josh MacDonald for the 2026-27 season!

Hailing from Cornwall, PEI, Josh brings an impressive junior resume to East Hants. Over his JR A career, he recorded 163 points and established himself as one of the league’s premier offensive talents.

During the 2021-22 season, Josh scored 31 goals in just 31 games, earning MJAHL Most Valuable Player honours while helping lead his team to an MJAHL Championship.

We are thrilled to welcome Josh to the Penguins family and look forward to seeing him make an impact this season.

East Hants Penguins Defenceman Will Thompson is back!

The East Hants Penguins are thrilled to announce the return of defenceman, Will Thompson as he enters his second year with the team!

Last season, Will showcased his incredible talent and determination, earning the NSSHL Defenceman of the Year. He led all defencemen with an impressive 18 points in just 17 games.

Known for being a strong presence on the blue line, Will logs significant minutes and plays a crucial role in our team.

We can’t wait to see what Will will accomplish in the upcoming season! Let’s go, Penguins!

He’s back! 🐧
Welcome back to the East Hants Sr. Penguins, Regan Spears! Hailing from Port Hood, Regan is officially returning for his second season—and you already know he’s a massive fan favorite.

Last year, Regan absolutely tore it up, leading the Pens in playoff points, cracking the league’s top 5 scorers, and taking home the Fan Favorite Award at the annual banquet.

We can’t wait to see what he does this season!
