Ever wonder how a launch monitor actually knows what happened at impact?
That’s where the technology matters.
Foresight Sports uses ultra-high-speed cameras to capture the exact moment the club meets the ball. Instead of relying on ball flight alone, our cameras instantly lock onto the physical micro-features of the golf ball, including the circumference of the ball, the dimples of the ball, and any trademarks or logos on the ball, using them as an optical footprint.
The millisecond the ball is struck, the cameras shoot thousands of frames per second, visually tracking the exact geometric rotation and displacement of those physical markers. By measuring how those specific features move in real-time, the system directly captures key club and ball data right at impact, including launch, spin, ball speed, club path, face angle, angle of attack, and impact location.
Why does that matter?
Because two shots can look similar in the air but come from completely different swings. A slight change in face angle, strike location, or spin axis can be the difference between a controlled fade, a miss right, or a shot that loses distance.
When those details are measured directly, golfers get clearer feedback on what actually happened, not just where the ball ended up.
