🔔 Dig out your runners, find your bug spray and fasten your bear bell, it’s the night before parkrun and the trail is ready! Join us tomorrow morning - Saturday, June 6 - for parkrun at Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary 🐻

⏰ Start Time: 9:00 AM sharp!

📍 Directions: Head toward Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary (off Hwy 108 on Milliken Mine Road) and follow the neon yellow signs.

❄️Winter has spoken. We have listened. ⛄

Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary parkrun is postponed for the winter months.
Turns out ice, snow, and running don’t always agree.

We’ll be back on Saturday, May 2—when the trail is less “nature’s skating rink” and more “parkrun friendly.”

Until then: walk, waddle, treadmill, or hibernate 🐻💤

🚨 PARKRUN UPDATE 🚨

Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary parkrun is officially on pause until May 2, 2026.
Yes… that’s a long taper. Even elite runners would struggle with this one.

But fear not! While you wait for our glorious return, you can:

🏃‍♀️ Run literally anywhere else (very adventurous)
🐕 Walk the dog and call it “cross-training”
☕ Perfect your post-run coffee routine
🧘 Stretch those hamstrings… once… maybe
📅 Count down the days until barcodes are once again proudly forgotten

We’ll be back before you know it, with smiles, volunteers, and the same questionable weather optimism.

Until then—stay active, stay warm, and don’t lose your barcode (again).

See you May 2, 2026! 🎉💚

⚠️ CANCELLED: New Year’s Day parkrun

🧊 Unfortunately, due to trail conditions, we have to cancel our special January 1st parkrun.

💛 Safety always comes first, and right now, the trail conditions are just too risky for walking or running.

😊 Thank you for understanding, and a big thanks to everyone who had planned to participate.

🎉 Wishing you a safe, happy, and healthy start to 2026.

‼️Reminder - we start up again in Spring! We will have loads of posts to let you know when our parkrun will resume!

❄️ Tomorrow’s parkrun cancelled

🎅 We hope all our park runners, walkers and barkers enjoyed their Christmas holiday!

⛄️ The snow accumulation this week and today has covered our trail…. but prepare yourselves… the weather for New Years Day is looking good, albeit cold, for our New Years 2026 celebratory run/walk.

🥶 Keep warm, and we’ll see you next Thursday!
