Le Club de Golf Fraser Edmundston, situé dans la légendaire République du Madawaska, vous offre un défi de taille tant par ses changements topographiques que par ses allées définies par des
arbres matures, ses fosses de sable ainsi que par sa voie ferrée et son lac. C’est la compagnie Fraser, manufacturière de pâtes et papier, sise au cœur de la ville d’Edmundston, qui a pris l’initiative de construire un terrain de golf de neuf trous. Le terrain a ouvert en 1926 et c’est en 1936 que le premier pavillon fut construit. Au milieu des années 40, la compagnie Fraser fit l’achat de terrains additionnels afin de faire un parcours de 18 trous. Ce nouveau parcours fut complètement redessiné et construit par l’architecte Albert Murray (www.alberthmurray.com).
À ce jour, le Club de golf Fraser Edmundston figure toujours parmi les terrains les mieux cotés dans les Maritimes. Il est également un des rares à posséder un parcours de cinq trous conçu spécialement pour les jeunes joueurs juniors. Le Club fut l'hôte du Championnat canadien amateur à deux reprises, soit en 1956 et, plus récemment, en 2002. En 2007, un tout nouveau terrain de pratique agrandi fut complété. Cette facilité est mise à la disposition de toute la population, membres ou non-membres. En 2008, le Club de golf Fraser Edmundston reçut un certificat de l'organisme "Golf In Canada" qui le désignait comme étant un des parcours où il fallait absolument jouer. Il notait, entre autre, la qualité et la variété du terrain ainsi que l'accueil du personnel. Cette même année, la r***e "Golf Digest" lui accorda la cote quatre étoiles et l'inclut dans sa liste des meilleurs endroits où jouer.

Situated in the legendary Republic of Madawaska, the Fraser Edmundston Golf Club offers you an unforgettable challenge throughout your round. We offer a variety of topographical changes, mature trees lining the fairways, well placed bunkers, the famous railroad track and lake. The Fraser Edmundston Golf Club was established in 1926. It was a pulp and paper company by the name of Fraser Inc., located in the city of Edmundston, which decided to build a nine-hole golf course. The course was opened in 1926 and, in 1936, its first clubhouse was built. In the mid 40’s, Fraser decided to purchase additional land to expand its golf course and in 1947, a brand new 18-hole course was completed. The course was completely redesigned and rebuilt by a noted golf architect, Mr. It is also one of the rare facilities to possess a five-hole Junior Course designed exclusively for our very young golfers. The Fraser Edmundston Golf Club continues to be rated as one of the best golf courses in the Maritime Provinces. In 1956, the Club and its members proudly hosted the Canadian Amateur Golf Championship when Moe Norman won against Gerry Magee. Mr Norman still holds the course record with an astonishing score of 64, which is 9 strokes under par. In 2002, the Club again had the privilege of hosting yet another Amateur Championship. The winner was an American, Mr. Dilbert Pruitt. In 2007, a brand new and enlarged driving range was completed. This facility is accessible to everyone, members or non-members. In 2008, the Fraser Edmundston Golf Club received a Recommended Play Award from Golf in Canada for "providing quality, variety, and most of all, enjoyment. All the things Golf in Canada looks for in a great golf course." That same year, Golf Digest gave it a Four-star rating as well as including it in its Best Places to Play list.
