SSAC is saddened to hear of the passing of Marg Brownoff after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marg was a long time SSAC registrar serving from 1993-2018.

She was an integral part of the club, not only managing registration, but also writing the club’s first manual for operations.

Our sincerest condolences and thoughts go out to Marg’s family at this time.

From South Side to the top of the WHL.

Congratulations to SSAC alumnus Steve Hamilton on an incredible season with the Everett Silvertips, capped off with a WHL Championship tonight and being named WHL Coach of the Year.

Steve wore the SSAC crest from 1988–89 Bantam AAA season through to Midget AAA in 1990, including playing in the inaugural AMHL All-Star Game in 1990.

A proud example of the legacy, leadership, and character that exemplify our club generations later.

Congratulations Steve!

Our hearts are heavy as we learn of the tragic loss of Jasper Bearcats hockey players Danica Hills and Kayla Peacock.

There are no words that truly make sense in moments like this. Two teammates. Two daughters. Two friends. Two young women who laced up their skates, chased their goals, and were part of a community that is bigger than the game.

Hockey is a family. And when one part of that family hurts, we all feel it.

The SSAC board and community send our deepest condolences to the families, teammates, coaches, schools, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.
