While walking through the halls of our old high school, I ran into Mr. Michael — our janitor back then, and still working hard at 76 years old. That hit me. He’s given so much to the community for decades, and it was time we gave something back. Today, we surprised him with a special gift from the Oilers family.

Respect, loyalty, and heart — that’s what Edmonton is about. Thank you, Mr. Michael.

I think I'm a guy that can relate to everyone and is fairly close with everyone on the team and can try to help bring guys together. That's what I tried to focus on when I was in Erie and I felt everyone was a part of the team. I definitely try to lead that way; I'm not the big rah-rah guy.
