In warm temperatures keep your micro spikes from collecting snow between the boot bottom and the micro spikes.
Firstly, ensure a micro spikes are on tight.
Options:
1. Spray the bottom of your boot with a wax spray. Apply every time you hike in warm snow temps.
2. By the Kahtoola KTS crampons that have SRS Snow Release Skins. design more for Alpine use but are effective on boot pack trails.
3. Walk and slide method. Slide your foot over the snow slightly before placing your step.

Solo hike to Chester Lake Snowshoe trail, Elephant Rocks, up to Lake 1 and 2.
For those who want to skip the crowds hiking up the easy trail to Chester Lake, this route is more difficult but offers more of a in the bush hike opening to 3 beautiful meadows with stunning views of Mt. Chester, Galatea, and Gusty Peak. 🥾 ⛰️
