Truth be told, I purchased my very first exercise program back in early 2021. One of my best friends convinced me to join the Winter Promo.. little did I know, I was already 3 weeks pregnant and results started protruding instead of retracting lol.

During my pregnancy, exercise wasn’t a priority for me at all. I was juggling two jobs, working towards my Personal Training certification, and tackling our home renovations with determination, all while looking forward to some relaxation after the baby’s arrival. In the end, I ended up gaining over 40 pounds, reaching a peak weight of 202 pounds. I felt completely unlike myself, grappling with feelings of being lost and confused, wondering how I had let this transformation happen. The strength and endurance I had built over a decade, along with my hard-earned muscle, seemed to fade away.

At eight weeks postpartum, I took a leap of faith and invested in postpartum program. This marked the first time I followed a structured exercise routine. I not only rebuilt a strong muscular foundation, but also worked on restoring my weakened pelvic floor. As the program came to a close, I recognized the urgent need to plan out my ongoing training, determined to reclaim my body.

Flash forward to nearly 2 years postpartum and I’ve only JUST hit my pre-pregnancy marker.

I’m not saying it’s easy, because it most definitely is NOT. There will be hurdles. There will be setbacks and it WILL take time. An immense and, at times, torturous amount of time but boy oh boy is it ever worth it.

Welcome friends!

Finding a personal trainer that best suits you can be as difficult and time consuming as trying to find a new pair of jeans that fit juuuust right.. if you know, you know.

My aim is to provide complete transparency and valuable, entertaining information to make this journey easier for you!

Enjoy these 10 fun facts about me:

1. I have an (almost) 2 year old daughter who embodies my charismatic and spunky personality. 😅
2. I have 9 siblings in total. Matthew has 6.. how we keep track of them all, I have no idea. However, we wouldn’t trade it for the world!
3. I started going for runs when I was around 12 years old, solely just to listen to music in peace lol
4. I’ve seen Kendrick Lamar perform live 3 times and reaaaaally kicked myself for not seeing him on his last tour (May we all be blessed to see him on tour ONE more time in this lifetime).
5. In the past, I would often coax my sister into creating dances and then perform them for our family members. Admittedly a bit controlling, I wouldn’t let her rest until we had every move performed perfectly.
6. I threw up after Matthew told me he loved me for the first time. (Granted, we may have had too much to drink.. those 18 year old beer pong nights kicked our little butts lol).
7. I once peed my pants in Thailand after trying a “mushroom shake” with one of my best friends 😅.
8. I played basketball starting in 6th grade and continued through my senior year of high school, during which I earned the role of team captain. I attended various training camps and psyched myself out when college tryouts came along.
9. Back in elementary school, I would exclusively wear sweatpants to gym class, hoping to avoid any comments from the boys about my over-developed, muscular legs.
10. I love expressing my creativity in various forms, whether it’s crafting homemade birthday cards, making wreaths, creating dainty drawings, or exercise routines (😉). It fills my cup while providing a deep sense of relief.
