When: Sept 26 & 27th, 2025 12-5pm
Where : Western Varieties, 7003 Roper Rd NW, Edmonton, AB

Package Pickup will also be onsite at Kinsmen Park the day of the Run/Walk
Sept 28th starting at 11am-1:00pm

Less than 2 weeks until the 5th Annual Orange Shirt Run/Walk in Edmonton Nitotemitik!
3 distances to choose from:

2.15k, 5k & 10k walk to run! Each participant receives a Race Bib, Orange Shirt and Hand Carved Feather Medal when they are finished. Plus many opportunities of learning and community onsite and food!

Also don't forget about the 2nd Annual in Saskatoon this year as well!!

A few changes this year for the Edmonton run. It will be held Sunday September 28th in honour of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and in Remembrance of all those who suffered the effects of Residential Schools. To every Child who never made it home, we honor their spirits and their memory. Promising we will never forget, and we will move with purpose as we take each step towards a better future for all our children.

We thank all our community partners for being a part of such an important cause, as well as our City of Edmonton - Local Government and we welcome back Root For Trees for another plant giveaway

We are so happy to also once again fundraise for the Orange Shirt Society which has raised over 30k for the Society plus other grassroots organizations and to support Indigenous Runners at many various races including ultramarathons all over Alberta B.C, Navajo land and Ireland to name a few. We aim to represent in these spaces because Movement is Medicine and Running is Healing 🧡

Also if you're looking for a longer run Indigenous Runners is also putting on the Medicine Run this weekend in the River Valley Trails the start/finish will be at Kihcihkaw Aski (Sacred Land Site). You can sign up as a soloists for any of these distances or as a relay team. Each member of your team doing the 12.5k lap as you see fit. Totally up to you.
