The 2025/26 Durham Thundercats Rookie of the Year goes to Luke Eurig! 👏

Luke finished the regular season with 23 goals and 35 assists, and added 9 goals and 9 assists in the playoffs, for a season total of 76 points — good for 2nd on the team and an impressive 2.53 points-per-game average.

Congratulations, Luke, on an outstanding rookie season! 🔥🏒

The Home Brew Award is presented to a player from Durham who truly represents what it means to be a Thundercat. It recognizes someone who leads by example, works hard every day, supports their teammates, and consistently shows dedication both on and off the ice.

Alex exemplifies all of these qualities and more. A true leader in every sense, always willing to help, and someone who brings effort and character every time he steps on the ice.

This year’s 2025/26 Durham Thundercats Ironman Award goes to Aeric Annetta 💪🔥

A steady, dependable presence on the backend all season long — a true shutdown defender who never took a shift off. He brought toughness, compete, and consistency every night, doing whatever was needed for the team in all situations.

Even though he ended the season on a slippery note, it doesn’t take away from the effort, grit, and reliability he showed from start to finish. He battled through every game and remained a key part of our defensive group.

Well deserved! 👏

The 2025/26 Durham Thundercats Leading Scorer Award goes to #19 Brody LeBlanc!

Brody finished the season with an incredible combined total of 40 goals, 42 assists, and 82 points across the regular season and playoffs.

Not only did Brody lead the Thundercats in goals, but he also led the entire OEHL. A complete 200-foot player who brings skill, effort, and impact at both ends of the ice every single game. An impressive season from an impressive player. Congratulations, Brody! 👏👏

First up for our 2025/26 awards is our Most Valuable Player, awarded to our team captain: Kyler Nixon. 👏

Kyler is the definition of a leader — someone who leads by example on and off the ice, brings tremendous dedication to the team every day, and sets the standard in the room.

From the blue line, Kyler finished the season with 66 points, recording 16 goals and 50 assists as a defenceman. 🔥
