An absolutely electric, sun-soaked day for the Paris to Ancaster race! After a night of rain, the course served up some classic mud—making it gritty, fast, and unforgettable.

Hardwood Racing Club showed up in full force. Huge results across the board, personal goals crushed, and several first-timers took on the challenge and crossed that finish line—an incredible accomplishment.

Every rider left it all out there, pushing through the mud, the effort, and the moments that really test you. That’s what race day is all about.

Massive congratulations to the entire Hardwood Racing Club—what a day

As we prep for our opening night of Skills at Copeland, we remind parents and friends that some trials are seasonally closed, including Left Bank / Ridge Run. Please respect these closures as they assist sensitive plants and animals.

Copeland Forest Trail Closures Notice

Copeland Forest is the most ecologically diverse forest in Simcoe County. It is designated as a Provincially Significant Wetland and contains many documented Species at Risk. The low-lying parts of the forest are particularly sensitive. The use of the forest for hiking and riding should be considered as a privilege and not a right. In 2023 CFFA released a trail plan that examined the single-track trails that were developed without the permission of the landowner (the Ministry of Natural Resources). The Trail Plan was supported by ecological study and makes many recommendations including the closures of some limited sections of trails in the forest (>95% of the trails are unaffected).

CFFA has installed signs that identify trail closure (either seasonal or permanent) as recommended in the 2023 Trail Plan. For those forest users that may not agree with these closures, please go around the sign. Please do not remove the signs as occurred in 2024. We expect that most forest users who value the ecology of the forest will respect the closures.

For 2025 CFFA is continuing to work on clearing fallen trees and debris from the ice storm and has other plans including the installation of platforms over wet areas and addressing trail erosion in select sections. We thank you for your support.
