Dundas Little League

⚾️ That’s a wrap on another season of Dundas Little League! ⚾️

What a season it was! Despite what seemed like an endless supply of rainouts 🌧️, we made it through another summer of baseball, and we couldn’t be more proud of all of our players.

To all of our players — thank you for bringing your energy, enthusiasm, determination and love of the game to the field. We hope you made some great memories, learned a few new things, made new friends, and most importantly, had fun playing baseball! 💛⚾️

To all of our parents and families — thank you for getting everyone to practices and games, cheering from the sidelines, helping out when needed, and sticking with us through all those schedule changes and rainy days. Your support makes our league possible!

And to our incredible volunteers — coaches, board members, executive members, convenors, and everyone else who gave their time and energy this season — THANK YOU! ❤️ Your commitment to our players and to Dundas Little League does not go unnoticed. This may have been the season of rainouts, but you continued to show up, adapt, reschedule, and make sure our kids had the opportunity to play. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

🏆 And a big congratulations to our 2026 division champions! 🏆

⚾️ Coach Pitch — Blue Jays
⚾️ Minor — Brewers
⚾️ Major — Rockies

Congratulations to all three teams on a fantastic season! And a huge congratulations to every team and every player who took the field this year. Winning is great, but the real victory is seeing our kids grow, compete, support each other and enjoy the game. 👏

Thank you, Dundas, for another great season! We’ll see you at the ballpark next year! ⚾️💖

Play ball!

Dundas Tigers All-Star Black 12U - A Season to Remember

In our Final Tournament of the year our Dundas Major Black Team went undefeated in 5 games to win the championship game in Stoney Creek.

What a season for our Dundas Major Black 12U team.

We finished 2026 with an incredible 20 wins, 7 losses and 2 ties, but the numbers only tell part of the story of what this group accomplished.

Over the course of the season, we entered five tournaments, reached three championship games and brought home two championships.

🏆 Dundas Major Spring Fling Champions — our first tournament of the season

🏆 Stoney Creek Labour Day Tournament Champions — our final tournament of the season

There couldn’t have been a better way to bookend the year — winning our first tournament and then finishing the season by winning our last.

But what I will remember most isn’t the record, the trophies or the championship games.

I’ll remember this group of kids.

This was the final Little League season for every player on this team. I’ve watched them grow as ballplayers, teammates and young men, and I couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished together.

They competed. They battled through tough losses. They celebrated some incredible wins. They supported one another. And when the season came down to one final tournament, they found a way to finish it together as champions.

A huge thank you to our coaching staff, Matt Ertl, Dave Cann, Ryan Grantham and Jeremy Hernandez for the countless hours you put into this team. Practices, games, tournaments, preparation and everything behind the scenes — none of this happens without your commitment to these players.

And to our parents and families, thank you for everything. The driving, organizing team events, the long tournament weekends, the early mornings, the late nights, the cheering and the support you gave these kids and our coaches all season long. You were a huge part of this team.

This season is also especially meaningful to me personally because it marks my final year coaching Little League.

I’ve spent a lot of years standing on a baseball field trying to teach kids how to play this game. Somewhere along the way, I realized they’re teaching me just as much — about patience, resilience, friendship and how quickly these years go by.

There will always be another game and another team, but there will never be another 2026 Dundas Major Black!

20 wins. 7 losses. 2 ties.5 tournaments.3 championship games.2 championships.

More importantly — one incredible group of kids and a season I’ll never forget.

To every player on Major Black: thank you for allowing me to be your coach. It has truly been an honour.

You came into this season as ballplayers.

You leave it as champions. 🏆⚾️💙

Congratulations, Dundas Major Black 12U. What a way to finish the journey!

Regards,

Coach Matt

Girls with Game: A New Tradition Begins! 💙⚾🥎

The 56th Annual World T-Ball Tournament was one for the history books as we hosted the tournament's first-ever All-Girls Division.

Young athletes from Ancaster Little League, High Park Little League, Turtle Club, and a combined Erindale/Dundas Little League team came together for an unforgettable weekend. They competed with heart, built new friendships, and showed everyone that the future of girls' baseball and softball is brighter than ever.

This exciting milestone is a reflection of Little League's Girls with Game initiative, which is creating more opportunities for girls to play, compete, and fall in love with the game.

Thank you to every player, coach and volunteer who helped make this division such a success. Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and support made this a memorable weekend for everyone involved.

We look forward to welcoming even more all-girls teams in 2027 as we look to inspire the next generation of girls to step onto the diamond.

Such a lovely collaboration between two Little League organizations. Hopefully more to come!

A huge shout out to all the volunteers who have made this possible and given this group of girls a chance to experience tournament play. What an incredible experience!

Our Girls team wrapped up their 2026 season this past weekend at the Ancaster World T-Ball Tournament, finishing with a strong 2-2 record!

One of their losses came in a thrilling one-run nail-biter, proving just how competitive this group was all weekend long.

We couldn't be prouder of these girls from Erindale and Dundas. They gave everything they had on the field, supported one another every step of the way, and represented both organizations with pride, sportsmanship, and determination.

Congratulations on a fantastic season—we can't wait to see what next year brings! 💙⚾

The Dundas/Erindale Girls Tball Team Represented Erindale Lions Girls at the Erindale Tournament this past weekend.

They lost to High Park Grenadiers 7U and Mahoney Bears 7U and won 32/31 to High Park Diamonds.

They then lost to Mahoney Bears 7U in the 7U Division 2 Championship, but these girls and families have a heart of Gold 💛

They have practiced twice all together as a team and had their first game at the Erindale Tournament.

They're really gelling together as a team and we are so proud of them!

The Dundas/Erindale Girls Team will be Representing Dundas Tigers Girls at the Ancaster T-ball Tournament - Girls Division on the August long weekend. Good luck girls!

Sadly, baseball is cancelled tonight due to very poor air quality. Stay safe everyone!

06/25/2026

Another day, another rainout. After several unsuccessful attempts to convince Mother Nature to take a day off, baseball has been cancelled once again. We would like to thank the rain for its continued commitment to leading the league in appearances this season.

06/10/2026

Sadly, the City has closed all of our fields today due to the heavy rains we received overnight. All baseball has been cancelled for Wednesday, June 10th, 2026.

See everyone tomorrow!

Dundas Major Black capture the Dundas Little League Spring Fling Tournament Championship; Dundas Major Gold Reaches Consolation Final

It was a tremendous weekend for Dundas baseball as both Dundas Major teams delivered outstanding performances in a competitive 10-team tournament.

The Dundas Major Black All-Stars emerged as tournament champions, defeating the Ancaster Diamondbacks in the championship game to claim the title. The team showcased complete baseball throughout the weekend, combining dominant pitching, stellar defensive play, and explosive offense.

At the plate, Dundas Black was unstoppable, launching an impressive seven home runs over the course of the tournament. Timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and consistent offensive pressure helped power the team to the championship.

The pitching staff was equally impressive, throwing strikes, limiting scoring opportunities, and delivering clutch performances in key moments. Defensively, Dundas Black played outstanding baseball, making the routine plays and several game-changing defensive stops when it mattered most.

Dundas Major Gold also enjoyed a strong tournament, advancing all the way to the Consolation Final before falling to the Oakville Whitecaps. Gold battled hard throughout the weekend and demonstrated tremendous determination, skill, and teamwork against a strong field of opponents.

Combined, the two Dundas teams recorded eight tournament victories, a remarkable achievement and a testament to the talent, dedication, and hard work of the players and coaches.

Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic weekend representing Dundas baseball. The future is bright, and this tournament was another example of the strength and depth of our players.

Special thanks to the tournament director and the volunteers that worked hard to make our tournament a huge success.
