Hi Mamas!
Just a simple note to say be kind to yourself, have grace and compassion and keep going! Not every day is going to be as good as you imagine before you wake up in the morning but keep making the most of it!
Keep focusing on the small positive and good things you do each day. Those good moments, when you start to see them, will only get keep growing.
Do you have plans for this weekend? My family is going to head to the beach for a day and soak up the sunshine while we can! Have a great weekend!!

Hi Mamas! Its been a while since Ive posted on this page. I took a break after having my second daughter and was experiencing long term vertigo and headaches. After spending more than a year taking care of myself, I'm ready to get back to helping mamas!

What area are you finding the hardest right now, during covid-19? Fitting in a workout, with kids around? Not sure what to do? Post-natal difficulties?

Get outside.
Go for a walk without a destination or time limit. Give yourself time.

Getting outside just for the sake of walking can spur creativity, improve heart health, help those with back pain, improve digestion, increase mindfulness and focus, along with a litany of other things.

For those of you that love Nutella here’s a DIY recipe for you and your kiddos!

Finally got it smooth!! My kiddos said yes mom you got it this time :)

Home made nutella:

Blend 3/4 cup coconut sugar to make it into a powder. Take out of blender.

2 cups hazelnuts( roasted, skins removed best u can) roast 8 min rub skins off
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pulse till smooth
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup powdered coconut sugar u pulsed at beginning(more to taste)
Pulse and pulse till smooth took me a while to pulse and added more oil (my blender got a workout :))

Mmm I absolutely love nutella, going to make some more for myself keto style :) Omit coconut sugar, more oil and a bit of stevia.

Here are some really helpful upper body stretches with a thick green band! This band is amazing for increasing upper body mobility. If you don't have one yet, you can purchase one at Fitness Depot in Ancaster. I will attach other videos that are especially helpful for moms in the comments.

A neck issue is a shoulder issue and a shoulder issue is a neck issue.

Improve upper body strength with a mini band push-up!! I love these because they are either used to help you get stronger to do a full body push-up or improve smaller shoulder stability muscles if you put the band around your wrists. Remember to keep your muscles tight and squeeze your glutes to keep your hips from moving around! Try 3 sets of 8-12 🙂

Anyone have tight hip flexors? A lot of daily life can contribute to tight hip flexors- here are a few of my favorite stretches to do regularly to loosen the hips, glutes, and hamstrings!
The band is amazing for stretching and mobilizing! There are times when being a mom can make me feel like my whole body is tight. This provides relief after I’ve been using the baby carrier, lots of walking, pushing a stroller, or breastfeeding! This video is for the hips the next one will be for upper body!

One of my main priorities with clients is teaching them to be aware of the food they eat and how it affects them- physically and mentally. It is an important learned skill that has enormous benefits!
